Pathfinder Resilience

Partnering with Leaders in High-Pressure Professions to Build Wellness Cultures

The first validated, whole-person, whole-organization approach™ transforming the way we care for ourselves, our teams, our organizations, and our loved ones to ensure a career experience that prioritizes wellness and resilience.

Step One: Energizing Exhausted Employees

We follow. Everyone, no matter their position in an organization, follows someone. The question is, what kind of follower are you?

During our one-day employee engagement summit, we spend time energizing the workforce with information about what makes them unique, how to personalize team dynamics, aligning personal and organizational value systems, and allowing them to tell us what they think excellence is.

This highly-engaging day is intended to shift employee mindsets away from feeling like the problem and toward the reality that they - at a grassroots level - are the solution. This is the experience that answers our most common question, "Where do we start?"

Step Two: Create a Common, Self-Care Language

Navigating Adversity™
Culturally-Competent, Personalized Training Experience

  •  100% virtual, delivered in eight modules of self-paced learning.

  •  Confidentiality essential.

  •  Online curriculum features Subject Matter Experts selected for their experience as First Responders.

  •  Each trainee guided by their own certified, culturally-competent mentor.

  •  Overseen by Dr. Renee Thornton, internationally recognized expert in Crisis Intervention.

Step Three: Branding Your Department's Way

America

Branding the values of your wellness culture is the cornerstone of recruitment and retention. Originally coined The City Way by the San Francisco Sheriff's Department, this cultural overhaul is now known by each department's unique, personalized way: The Paterson FD Way, The Aurora 911 Way, The Mifflin FD Way, The Danbury FD Way, and more.

Step Four: Training for Resilience, Diversity, & Unity

Over the course of three phases to culture change, we deliver training in person, virtually, and a combination of both to the entire workforce - and their loved ones - in one or more of these customized topics.

  • Executive Leadership Development

  • Leading High-Performance Teams

  • Wellness Ambassadorship

  • Choosing How to Follow

  • Navigating Adversity for Loved Ones: Keeping it all Together

  • 360° Accountability Reviews

  • Upward Feedback

  • and more!

Step Five: Presenting Your Department's Success through Validated Research

Presentation

Throughout the experience, we'll collect data so that we can measure the impact of this approach and adjust our methods accordingly. At the conclusion of the process, we present the data to your stakeholders.

LEADERSHIP IS CHALLENGING ENOUGH, BUT CULTURE CHANGE FELT LIKE A BLACK HOLE...NOT ANYMORE, BECAUSE WE'RE NOT DOING THIS ALONE. WE'RE PARTNERS WITH THE BEST EXPERTS IN THE WORLD, CHANGING LIVES FOR THE BETTER, EVERY DAY.

When we started working with Dr. Thornton, it was through the Navigating Adversity training program. I'd never seen anything so comprehensive and, I'd never worked with a company so ready to respond to the demands of a diverse workforce the way Pathfinder did. Over time, their team won over mine and today, we're working to make The City Way the only way to treat ourselves, each other, and our citizenry.
